I have 50K on my 98 coupe and when I apply the brakes, the car brakes kinda bouncy not stiff like i think it should be. I am guessing just the front pads need to be changed. My questions are:
Am I right in assuming that its just the front pads?
What kind of pads should I buy?
Should I replace both front and back?
My car was doing the same thing. I replace my rotors and installed ceramic pads. I replaced the rotors as they were only $26 bucks apiece from Napa, the dealer ship wanted $118 apeice. For that price I will replace my rotors every time and it only took hour to do the fronts and an hour to do the backs.
I love the ceramic pads, almost no dusting at all. The shimmy or bounch you feel is most likly wraped rotors that could be turned out. I went with new rotors because they were only $10 dollars more than turning.
Good luck,
Tony
Probably jsut the fronts and yes with the pads do a rotor change and then bleed the system real well with fresh fluid (Always a good idea!) :iagree:
