Trying to pick a good place for my shiftlite. I would like to have it concealed like it was in my C4, but I am open to all ideas. Any pics that you have are greatly appreciated as well.
Sorry, no pics here at work. But, I have my Raptor shift light mounted at the very top of the driver's A-pillar. It's totally concealed from the outside but is easily seen on the inside when it lights up. The Raptor is one of the smallest out there so it's easy to conceal. I mounted the bracket with 3M double-stick tape.
Flyin'Brian posted the thread below about hooking to the tach wire under the driver's dash. I had already hooked mine at the passenger foot well just above the BCM. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=619162
Here's my Raptor on the top of the A-pillar. One nice thing about this position is it's not directly in line-of-sight but well within peripheral vision so I don't have to look away during the day. I have the flexible cap to cover it quickly if I ever want/need to. Another is that I can change the settings if need be in about 20 seconds. Also, uninstalling it is a breeze and no parts were cut.
Has anyone with a HUD put in an aftermarket shift light. I'd liek to know what benefit that would be over my HUD screaming shift when I wind up :)
Its way too hard to see the HUD shift light (especially if you are displaying other stuff). With my 4.10s I really hit redline fast. This is why I decided to get a Raptor shift light.
