Default BF Goodrich drag radial question

I am thinking about purchasing BFG "gForce T/A KD" tires for the front and BFG "Comp T/A drag radials" for the rear. Tire Rack suggested I go with gForce T/A KD on the rear too. He said they will have almost as good of traction. I don't know if he said that because he didn't have the drag radials in stock or if it is an accurate statement.

Anyone out there have experience with the gForce T/A KD that can back up that statement?

Also, how does the gForce T/A KD compare to the stock Z06 tires for drag racing traction?

KD's are awesome tires...and if you intend to run mostly on the street you will not do well w/the DR's. The KD's will have traction/handling in rain or shine...the DR's with the soft sidewall will be squirrly in the curves & down-right slick in water.

Thanks. My car is my hobby so I don't usually drive it in bad weather. What I am looking for is drag strip performance. Are the KD's almost as good for drag traction?

If your car is stock the KD's will be fine but if you are looking for atire that will hook like mad at the track because you are having traction problems then get the DR's . they can be driven on the street but they don't do well in rain so not good for daily driver.

I must have bought the last 2 they had yesterday because I'm sitting here waiting for UPS to drop them off

I think you answered your own question right there. The BFG drag radials will give you near dragstrip hook on the street. I've got similiar mods to yours except 3.73's and the BFG's just bite hard and go without spin. I am amazed every time I launch on the street how straight and planted they keep the car.
