could this hurt the engine??
did a dum thing tonight. whent out and was driving my car . when a ac cobra relpica pulled next to me. so we start playing around i know i had no shot . but i was felling good :lol: so he hammers it and so do i. when all the sudden i shift to drive. i thought but i was already in drive and i shifted to neutral at wot and hit the rev limiter. i feel like a jaskass. car seems to be fine. but could there be internal problems in the motor. :(

In that scenario, no...the rev limiter did it's job in protecting the engine, and you did no harm.
The only time the rev limiter can't help you is when you'd downshift to too low of a gear at too high of speed and mechanically over-rev the engine. Nothing can protect from that.
