Shift problems?

Shift problems?
My '97 6speed is new to me and I am having some difficulty shifting from 1st to 2nd, seems like it wants to go into 4th gear. Down shifting into 2nd is not a problem. Is this just me or does it need some adjustment?

Are you sure you don't have the skip shift feature (CAGS) which is designed to do this at certain speeds. If you have this feature you can eliminate this very easily and cheaply by purchasing a skipshift eliminator. :crazy:

Its designed to run that way for better fuel economy.We sell a CAGS overide its about 20.00 and a novice can install 1 in minutes.Dave Smilovic
