By the way, is that a Fram oil filter on your Corvette?
And this set is Air Born coated.............not Jet Hot. The coating is definitely breaking down so either the prep work or the coating itself is the culprit. I deal with metallurgy and coatings here in the boat yard and this degradation is not normal whether a Plasma Spray or Powder coating. I know about manufactures warranties and some pitfalls with them so only time will tell, I have also sent an e-mail to the coater.
