lost communication with ipc and lost communication of pcm. wtf ??? is this because of ls1edit :confused:

I've gotten these codes for the 3 years I owned the car. Apparently so do a lot of people. Mine come after agressive driving. I wouldn't worry about unless one of them has a "C" after it.

Richin, what is the significance of a "C" after a code? I get a 1431H C when my fuel gauge drops to zero. :confused: :confused:

C is for current; It means that the fault happend during the current ignition cycle. H means history; The fault happened previously but is not a current fault condition.

A question for you - I get these same codes and one more 1064H. I clear them and sometimes if I hit a bump on the highway my instrument cluster goes nuts and they return. Is that what happens to you? Almost seems in my case something is loose and I just don't know where to look.

If I am not mistaken those codes refer to the loss of communication woth the PCM and the IPC.

U1096 Loss of Communications with IPC (No State of Health Message)
U1016 Loss of Communications with PCM (No State of Health Message)

Cirrus8 re: 1431
P1431 Fuel Level Sensor 2 Circuit Performance -C

RichieCap re 1064
