Dastek UniChip
Basically, it's a piggy-back ECU that modifies fuelling and ignition timing throughout the RPM range.
It is set-up whilst the car is on the dyno so that any changes can immediately be seen. The AFR's are modified using a wide-band O2 at up to 17-points through the RPM band and the UniChip interpolates between those set-points.
Additionally, timing is added or pulled at up to 17-points through the RPM band (again, with interpolation).
I know some of you guys are gonna say I should goto a tuner with LS1Edit, but that's just not an option in the UK (nobody really knows C5's and nobody has LS1Edit over here).
The install cost is $700 (that includes the UniChip, all labour charges and dyno time + before and after power runs). They also offer a full money-back guarantee if not satisfied with the results after 2-weeks.
Anyone got any comments?
Cheers,
Ian.
