Default Meziere water pump installed

The pumps it self looks great compared to the stock unit, I got the 'natural alu.' version :)

The install took 1.5hours without any problems. It says in the instructions to remove the radiator support during the install but I skipped that.

My engine is a 427C5R which might need a little more cooling than a 350 but the temp is around 205 in stop and go traffic (60 in the air). I can't tell if I gained any power and it's hardly possible to feel 10hk.

The only difference I noticed was a much smoother idle. I do not know if it's because of less load on the engine at idle

I will drive around for a while and go to a couple of roadrace events and we will see if its capable of keeping the engine cool.

 I was looking at the specs and physical appearance of that and wondered how the install and fit is. Anxiously awaiting your field report.

Since I also have a C5R 427, I'm very interested in your ongoing impressions. Having about run out of things to waste money on (the LSX intake now being delayed until year end), the Meziere may be on my want list.

Although I don't have a real man's motor (aka, 427), I am very interested about the feasability of the Meziere pump on street-mild road track use Vette. I live in New Orleans, so engine cooling is a major issue. Please let me know how it works over the next couple of weeks on the street and at the track.

I've had my Meziere in for almost 2 weeks now....average temps seem to be about the same. I do see a much faster drop in temps at idle than I did with the stock pump. I can't feel a 12rwhp change.....its just too small compared to almost 700....but every bit helps.

The fit and finish was excellent, it's a true bolt-on.

I've been driving alot on the street but no track events yet. I have the 160/180 thermostat and cruising at highway speeds (85-90mph) the temp stays between 160-170. I have the fans coming on at 180(fan1) and 185(fan2). In stop and go traffic it never gets hotter than 205. The outside temps have been between 65-75 the last week.

Do you have any pics? I have an underdrive pulley, so I wonder if the electric water pump would overtax the alternator since it turns slightly slower now. Also, do you have to get different belts, or does it have a dummy pulley in the stock water pump location? Thanks!

I will try to shoot some pics during this week.

You do not need a new belt, use the one you have. On the electric pump you have what you could call a dummy pulley but it does not load the engine in any way. It looks like it serves as a fan cooling the electric pump motor.

The Maximum power consumtion is 12.5A so you should not worry about overloading your generator. I have a ATI underdrive pulley without any problems.
