LS1 EDIT USERS AND GURU'S: WHAT ARE SOME BASIC CHANGES?
I will be recieving a copy of LS1 Edit in a few days, I am a former Hypertech user. This is really the best and only solution for my 1998 Vert. It will offer the flexibility for the future as my mod list grows.
Now I want to do some basic changes to my program. Here are my mods...it is a short list (for now).
Ported MAF
Ported TB
Coolant Bypass
MAFT
160* thermostat
Blackwing Filter
CF intake
Magnaflow exhaust and X pipe
It is a 1998 Corvette with an A4.
LS1 Edit guru's and users, please offer your suggestions.
Re: LS1 EDIT USERS AND GURU'S: WHAT ARE SOME BASIC CHANGES? (batsallover)
1. Turn off CAGS
2. Set your fan settings for the 160* TStat.
3.Set Maf Back to stock. Use a scanner and adjust the Injector Flow Rate Table to get your LTFTs (LTrims) slightly negative. This will set LTFT at "0" at WOT. Hope this helps some.

DELETE TQ MANAGMENT!!!
There are a few different tbales you need to modify to do this.
*Edit at your own risk*
On the Trans Calibration "A4 Shift Firmness table" #1 Click the Tq Reduction button, and zero out the whole table.
#2 "Upshift TQ Reduction" Zero out the whole table.
#3 "Desired Shift time" Zero out the whole table or simply reduce the #s.
On the "Engine Calibration Table" #1 "Ignition tab" Under TQ Managment, change Max TQ to 1000.
#2 "Abuse Mode Test" make if Max RPM > 7000 and speed 0.
#3 "Torque Reduction button" Zero out whole table.
#4 "Spark Retard Limit" make whole table 20.
Those are the #s I change and it has worked great on my Truck and my Vette, with just those changes and a balckwing filter I got my C5 into the 12s.
obvioulsy you'll want to change shift points, fan settings etc etc. But TQ managment is your enemy when it comes to performance so if you want fimer/quicker shifts then get rid of it. ;)

Don't want to step on any toes here -but do not set MaxTq to greater than 639. This is according to Ken Kelly.FWIW.
No worries mate, I never heard that but it is good info and there must be a reason behind it. My car will never reach 639 nor 1000 so might as well move it to 639 and not sweat it. :)
