After feathering to get out of my garage my clutch pedal is sticking down in the 1/2 position. Enough for the motor to still run, but you can not get out of a gear and you can feel the pull of the car.
I have to shut it off and manipulate to pedal with my foot up and down 4 to 5 times till it feels right and then start the car and go.
I changed the fluid in the brake resevoir. at least as much as I could syphon out.
What do I have to do to fix this?

Help Technical gooroo's
mapazo i am having the same problem with my 97 and i only have 28K miles on it. Im pretty sure its the slave cylinder thats messed up. Others have complained about the same problem and just upgrade to all zo6 parts (clutch, flywheel, bearings, slave) about $460 shipped via gmparts direct. and have never seen the problem again.
Some people have said it happens everynow and then which is what had happened to mine. But now its almost to the point where everytime i change gears it sticks to the floor. So i upgrade to the spec stage III clutch which will be installed next friday and East Coast Supercharging. Ill let u know how it turns out. They will probally be able to tell me what was wrong with the car once everything is apart. By the way my clutch started sticking radomly even at the 11k mile mark.

If your out of warrenty or out of extended warenty your on your own. Besided most warrenties dont cover clutch problems.
You said that you changed the fluid in the BRAKE resovour?? Did you mean the clutch resovour? If so was it very low when you changed it?
You could have air in the slave cylinder or master cylinder.
Something to try: Find a way to spray a can of BRAKE PARTS CLEANER into the clutch housing while someone operates the clutch. If you have an accumulation of dirt and brake dust on the clutch spline shaft, that could cause it to stick!
This seems to be a very common problem and I was advised by a friend who owns the Corvette clinic in San Jose CA to change the clutch resovoir fluid.
He had this problem and it was a costly fix. He told me to first syphon any fluid out of the resovoir using a turkey baster and add in this racing blue stuff
from Germany that comes in a silver can. He says the stock GM fluid seems to turn Waxy and gums up the hydraulic system and makes the clutch pedal
"stick". This happens especially if the clutch is overheated duting hard use. I've changed the fluid to "racing blue" and have had no problems. I know that one of our forum vendors sells this stuff and they are great guys to deal with. Ask for Shawn at LAPD. ... NO I am not on their payroll.
