My Power Programmer arrives tomorrow. I bought it mainly to stiffen up the shifts of my Auto-box. Based on this, can anyone recommend good settings for the shift firmness?
Also - the power programming - in the UK, our minimum RON fuel is 93 octane, and I don't know if it's "oxygenated" - does anyone know which setting to use for this so that I don't get "pinging"?
Oh, and what does "pinging" sound like??
Don't go higher than 50% because the line pressure can and will cause tranny failure. :smash: Get you a transGo shift kit it works much better. :iagree:

50% shift firmness
Optimised fan temps for 195f stat
Modified shift-points (do a search, can't remember what mine are right now)
Regarding petrol here in the UK, the minimum RON available is 95 (US equiv. 90). The maximum RON available is Shell Optimax @ 98RON (US equiv. 93). If you're thinking of running Hypertech Power Tuning, use Optimax.
