Anyone have their water pump replaced due minor leaking?
I do not appear to be losing much coolant if any, but can smell coolant.
Inspection looks like either a hose or the pump may be squeezing a few drops out (can see something on the block). No noises either.
Had one done in the C4 in the early 90's for around $400 if I remember right,
altho this would be warrantied.
It's probably leaking out the weep-hole on the bottom of the pump. It'll leak while you drive and run down on the hot exhaust pipes and you smell oranges. Very easy to change. Might be a little more challenging if you have 99 or newer. Because they installed your ABS manifold/break lines to the fron to of the engine on the driver's side fwd of the engine and between the radiatore. You can do it just take your time. Ensure you inspect your replacement pump throughtly(the bolts on the back plate of new pump) I had A NIGHTMARE! I purchased a pump from NAPA and three of the bolts were striped out, but I couldn't figure it out until I pulled the pump of the engine mutlipule of times. Good luck and take your time,, due to dealing with aluminume!
