I'll try once more to obtain a 100% accurate answer considering my other post seems dead. Does the wheel and Caliper need to come off when installing a new front bearing. I'm having issues with the dealer on this one!
hey said trhey replaced the bearing without removing these items!
Yes the wheel and caliper need to be removed when a wheel bearing is replaced. :yesnod: IF they can do it while leaving those items in place then they need to be performing magic on the Las Vegas strip instead of working at some car dealership. :skep:

:skep: Haven't had the pleasure of doing this to the Vette yet, but it would be a first to replace a bearing without removing a wheel! could be wrong though. Good luck
Now that I ponder this question... it may be possible... although when I replaced my wheel studs I had to remove all that stuff to do it... Heck, I just threw away the printed directions that I used to do the work just 2 days ago... Sorry I cant be of more help to you. :cry :hat
This forum is great! I am litterely going in tomo morning and raising hell! Thanks to all for the input. I 100% wanted to be sure before I raise hell. Can't believe they lied! I also noticed that they f'ed up the backing that lines the brake pad.
I can't believe I now need to go back and deal with this poopie. I might just go to the area rep on this one. There is more to the history of this service departments work than I care to mention.
How pissed would you be if you called your service manager and he told you they didn't use your enclosed bolts because they didn't remove the old ones to do the job! It's like they have no clue that I know something about cars. What is great is that I now have a post from somebody who just did the job!!!
I'm very :mad Thank goodness I have some free time on my hands so I can deal with this
Thank you again to the people who post on this forum. I'm going to bring these posts to the guy and litterely stick them up his ASSSS!
