Default Idle

I know the LS1 idles a bit rough, what is the proper idle RPM in gear ? I just took at evening destress drive and the idle felt a bit rougher than normal. It was idling about 650 - 700 RPM. This Saturday we get twin tip Borla's put on!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks.

My A4 (stock) idles at 550 rpm in drive and 600 rpm in neutral. :D :D

I think it is either 600 or 650. Mine is set at 900 now and idles perfect. Kaley

I think they reduced the idle RPM in 2001. Mine idles at 500-550 in gear, 600 or so in neutral. It has a very slight miss, but still idles more smoothly than my wife's Lexus V8. (The Lexus is much smoother above 1000 RPM, though).
