Default Long tube header fit?

With so many members here lowering their cars has anyone had any problems with long tube headers hanging too low? I beleave that i read somewhere here that someone had Lingenfelters headers that hung 3" below the oil pan and therefore the member said he could not lower the car. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

My TPIS LT headers don't hang below the car. They fit nicely and hug the shape of the motor. I have no worries about them.

My FLP's just barely hang down below the oil pan. THe problem is the Vclamps they use...that eats up another 1/2" of clearance and generally that is what will scrape if I do scrape the headers.

But, having said that, the front nose scrapes a lot more than the headers on my car.

My Stainless Works LTHs tuck up under the car with no clearance problems.

:iagree:

This is my only complaint about the FLP's, and the only reason I haven't lowered my car more. I can negotiate almost every driveway without scraping anything...but the speed bumps are gonna kill these headers sooner or later.

:iagree: That's why I'm not lowering mine below stock.

I have the Belanger headers on my car and have only one issue w/ them scraping on a speed bump. It sucked but I checked them out and there was no damage except for a scrape. Nothing big. My car is slammed to the ground w/ the bushing completely out in the front and longer bolts in the rear. Kaley
