Problem With Lights
driving home tonight it happened again but this time it was slightly different...when i turned on the lights, they lit in the hood but did not come up...also, the dash lights and the tail lights did not turn on as they should...the brake and turn signal lights worked fine...the running lights came on but i could not get the fog lights to come on...the cruise control also would not work (also on the stick with the lights)...had to drive home in the dark with just the running lights...not too much fun...
any ideas...
thanx in advance...

i have played with it a little more today...when i first went out to look at it, when i turned on the lights the lights came right up...turning them off left them open...i turned them down again and now if i turn them back on they do not open up...the turn signals work but i cannot turn on cruise or the fog lights and the tail lights continue to not go on...the daytime running lights do come on and stay on...
i checked the dtc codes and there is nothing there (except for a tire pressure problem that i have had for some time with the right rear wheel)...
i went thru the fuses and cannont find a single fuse that would cause all of this to happen if it went bad...
so....
anyone heard of this kind of issue...could this be the stick causing problems like these??? if it is the stick, anyone care to guess what it might cost to get it replace/fixed???
again, thanx for any suggestions/advice....

If you are, I will look in the repair manual and see what you need to accomplish the task, I had my wiper assembly out and it was EASY to dis assemble the column covers and the wiper module. All you basicaly need is an inexpensive set of torx's screw drivers. Most auto parts stores sell them as a set for around $5. Sears has a GOOD set for $20.
The switch is a dealer item and I would hate to guess how much it is. Probably around $35.
Please let us know if you want to repair it your self and I will give you pointers.
GO FOR IT!!!
