I had the pings, so I took everyone’s advise and used two cans of GM Top Engine Cleaner through the PVC inlet with the car running…. Let it sit for 12 hours and fired her up. Wow... The car completely disappeared in a cloud of smoke for about 3 minutes. Couldn’t even see the end of the hood. The car seems to be running much better now, but I still get some very slight pinging (It is about 80% better). Maybe it needs another can or two?
From all the stories, I expected my oil to be very dirty, but when pulling the dipstick after 10 miles of driving, the oil appears very clean (Almost Clear). Do you think I still need to change it?
Definitely change the oil after a decarb procedure. Much of it leaks down and mixes with the oil and thins it out, which is why it seems clear looking.

I've found that it takes a while for the decarboning function to complete. Run a full tank of gas through her and see how the pinging is handling. Also, you might have a stuck knock sensor (there's a link around here somewhere that describes the problem) and the computer isn't pulling any timing at all.
