I am considering purchasing a set of the performance fog light covers from Mid AM or Ecklers. These replace the closed stock covers. I have a Blackwing cold Air kit and wondered if anyone has installed these and seen any real additional benefit.
I have a similar setup and installed the fog light covers that have the multiple openings that are oval shaped. I think this looks better, and air does get up to the blackwing. I do not know how much, or if, there is any performance gain but allowing more air around your blackwing could not hurt.

Any concerns about water? I've got a thread out there about custom drilling the existing covers. Water is my biggest concern but I hadn't thought about dirt, etc.
i have had the ones with screens which are more open the ones with oval holes for three years now. dirt will always come in whether u have that area open or not. its nothing out of this world and im a clean freak with my car. unless u go through a puddle that covers ur entire front end that wont be a problem either
Not sure that water can infiltrate/saturate your blackwing from holes in the fog light covers. Yes, some dirt can get in the area, yet you should not be 4- wheelin' with your vette.
