the term slammed has been adopted here as a reference to lowering the car... most ppl can get their car 3/4 to an inch lower than factory.. without too much grief... The Term slammed is an East LA term for a low rider... something lowered alot more than an inch... but then everyone here has their own interpretation...
Pick up any moonshine in tennesse? I went to colorado years ago and noticed that there local street racers were gathering in the parking lot . I listened to the guys talking and although they used different words i knew what they were saying. A kid wanted to race this older racer for 200$ . The man looked at him and said "200$ im broker than a 40 year old mule" first time i heard that one. :steering:

n. Having your Honda Civic lowered to the ground to improve aerodynamics (i.e. look really dumb) so you can get better gas mileage driving to your job as Mc Donald's Hamburger Technician from your parents' house. Frequently accompanied by a gigantic, turd-shaped spoiler with no aerodynamic effect.
Man, that slammed Honda looks ghey. I hope the owner's mom doesn't know he saved up his allowance for 5 years to buy that lowering kit.
Whats up with the wing craze, i've seen cars where the wing is worth more than the whole car. Do they realize there wasting gas and with some of the angles i've seen them at are putting an extreme amount of load on there rear suspension. I'd pay good money to see a wing rip the trunk off a geo prism or something like that. :banghead:
Oh, i see knowone explained tubbing to you and if you dont know there totally different you do not know what tubbing is. Anyway i have a tubbed 67 camaro this car is what you call fully tubbed which means there has been a frame installed and the floor of the car from behind the front seats back has been cut out . This is where the term tubbed comes from which usually is a easy way to discribe what people call a back halfed car. The tubs are what you now have to put in over the tires to keep debris ,water ,SMOKE, etc, from entering the car along with other sheet metal panels until a whole new floor is completed. Now so your really not confused what c5, zo6 people mean by tubbing is what i call a mini tub, your basically cutting the floor just were the tire will rub when you go with say 12'' wide rims and then putting back the cut out piece with an additional strip where you have a gap now, or by now someone probably makes a kit with 2 pre made "tubs" that you can install easily. I have seen a fully tubbed c5 with a straight axle rear end ,coil over shocks it had a 4 link set up which is a little more complicated than ladder bar set up. He had 33x17 slicks and it looked pretty wicked. Anyway hope this helped.
