Twilight Sentinal (98 Convertible) TECH2 Help!!!
I am stumped! I have used my TECH2 and deactivated the Twilight Sentinal function on my nephews 99 C5... I have another friend who also has a former Canadian C5, it is a 1998 and I've tried several times to reprogram the BCM and deactivate the Twightlight Sentinal without success. The programming in the older BCMs are a little different... maybe there is something I am over looking. I've done it by selecting the NON Canadian RPO and then selecting the BCM RPO options she wants to keep and I've tried it with other way.... Has anyone here been able to deactivate this function on 97 -98 car??
I was under the belief that Twilight Sentinel was an option that began in 99. That would explain whyyou can't deactivate it with the Tech2, because it is not a 98 option. How that 98 came through with it is a mystery to me  You should still be able to turn it off in the DIC using the options button and reset button.

Re: Twilight Sentinal (Robbie)
Swear to God this is a 98.. with a build date in July of 97. I can put my hand over the sensor and up they come.... 'spose I could just do the resistor trick and be through with this... but I'd like to do it right if possible. Also, there is no control function for this in the DIC like on the '99 and newer??? Wierd Huh??

Re: Twilight Sentinal (racer44)
Actually as you can see from the first post... deactivating the Twilight PITA was easy on the 99... I just deleated the Canadian option.. just can't get it to work on the 98 (that shouldn't have it in the first place??)

Not sure if your post was to me, if so, I realize you easily eliminated it on your 99, but you said that method won't work on the 98, hence my answer.
