Vette Doctors recently told me that they could get me a Pro Torque w/3500 stall for around $650. How reliable are they compared to vigs and yanks? Does anyone in the forum have one in their setup? How is the drivability? I have heard of some horror stories so I want to be sure that it is not going to fry my trans, thanks
Re: Pro torque converters for C5. How are they? (mark b)
The Vette Drs. installed my PT 2400 2 years ago. Never had a problem and they are great to deal with. I have not driven in a car with that converter, but I am sure they know what they are doing.

Hi" (Mark b) welcome to the forum. I had the PT 2800 and it was a killer of the line. My best 60ft was 1.68 and thats launching very hard. I had 3.15 gears at that time and they were a little lose. 3.42 or 3.73" would work great with the 3500 stall. :iagree: :hurray: :hurray:

if you have the x-tra cash go ahead and get one of the new ss t/c's from yank ss 3600 or ss 3800 or later you will find yourself swapping t/c's down the road. do it once the right way. :yesnod:

After running both the 2400 AND 2800 they will bothe serve you well. Good product and good people at PT..talk with Joe Jr. at Pro Torque. There in Bohemia on the Island...exit 58 off I-495.. :yesnod:

Mark the PT3500 is a great unit, Joe used my car as one of the prototypes for it and it works super. You will have the best of both worlds, race and street..go for it !

i'm running a PT2900 and 3.42's. It blows up my runflats. I need to get some good grip to take advantage of the hit at the line at the track. its hella fun though to blow up some smoke
