I really like my Stainless Works. Picked up the power promised, dyno's to prove it. Ordered with Matt on the first batch. Reasonable price for power. HTH

I would love to take a bone stock C5 and put FLPS, LGs, TPIS, SWs, and Kooks on it to see the numbers.
:iagree: and then maybe a H&C and a stroker

I had LG install their long tube headers, a corsa indy pace car exhaust, and a Blackwing cold air intake last week. The car dyno'd at 342 rwhp and 357 rwtq. Lou was not there so I have not had a change to get the car tuned yet, so I expect to get some more power out of it soon as I can get the car back in. A friend of mine received very similar results without the Blackwing.

I am very pleased with the results.

To clarify:
Our center section is 3" from the headers all the way back. We also are the only manufacturer that backs our products with a limited lifetime warranty.

It is subjective for one header manufacturer to say that their header will or won't make more power-every car is different, every tune is different, etc. Making claims that a header makes more power is not easily supported-unless you compare the same car, EXACT same tune, and honestly, have an independent dyno shop test them. We do not bash other products or make claims that they make more power than other companies.

Our headers are used by more tuner shops-LS1 speed, LS1MS, Agostino, Extreme, Corvette garage, Performance Technical center, wheel to wheel, mallett, than any other header (actually, I can't verify this claim because I do not know who company ABC sells to). The point is, if there was a better product, companies that stake their reputation on making the most power would sell it and not sell ours. and last time I check Lingenfelters still sells their "mid length" headers, which they have built for them. Strange they do this and still make killer power and have arguably the best rep on the web for their packages.

I do know that our headers and exhaust were just used on the MTI built Z07 of Ron Adee that won the one lap, and our exhaust is on what is claimed to be the fastest N/A C5 of John Lawson (engine built by Cartek, he uses their headers, which are "mid length" as some call them with our 3" exhaust)

How much for your LT system with cats? Is this a system that can be replaced by the stock system if needed. I don't want to destroy any of the stock exhaust in case I need to reinstall.

What is the time requirement to install these LT and do they install from the bottom or top?

Any problems at all from the pcm? No codes, etc?? Can you tack weld a CARB# on them if I find a plate? :D

Will the LG Pro Long Tube + Metal Matrix + 3" to mufflers require an O2 sim?

I switched over from the FLP's to LGM LT headers without the cats. A noticable improvement not only SOTP but also on the dyno. Nice gain in tq down low.

Sven, can you post your before/after dyno? I want to see how it compares to my FLP/LG dynos.

You can try one of our dealers in your area or order on line with them.

LG Pro Long Tube headers available at :

LS1-Speed ( speed inc)
A and A Corvettes (Andy)
Corvettes of Houston
West Coast Corvettes
More Performance in NC
Leighton's Garage in Mpls.
Xtreme Motorsports
Corvette Garage
ACP Harrisburg,PA
LM Performance

With our LG Pro Long Tubes, we pick up the torque in the low and mid range.
There are some systems that get good "Peak" numbers, but lack in the low and mid range where most Corvette owners drive 99% of the time.
So our design does deliver the good high end numbers, as shown in our Cam and Head packages, but at the same time they deliver the Torque to pull out of a slow corner.

We just sent out another header to a new Speed World Challenge racer for a new car being built for the 2004 season. He said that he needed "Grunt" out of the corners, and the LG headers will do the job.

Thanks guys, Whatever header you choose, you will be much happier than without headers.

LG

How come no step in the headers like BPP headers. I mean go from 1 7/8 to 1 3/4. Some say a flatter torque on power better???

I'm stock with intake upgrades and free flowing exhuast. I daily drive the vette and future looking to add SC Vortech.
Which LT header is better?
TPIS, LG, Stainless LT or FLP?
Thanx for input.
Also consider Cartek's http://www.cartek.net headers, they've shown some great results as well. :yesnod:

Would the collectors in the comp. header system interfere in removing bell housing for changing the clutch.
Do the headers come apart like others.
Just need some info.

And are the LG headers stainless and coated ceramic for temp.
Thanx
