Fast steering box for 97 C5?
Years ago I had a '94 and later a '95 C4. Both had Z51 suspension option. My current highly modded 97 C5 started as an F45 suspension and the steering ratio seems low compared to how I remember my C4's. It seems like I had a 3 week learning curve back then to get used to the fast steering!
Does anyone know of a fast steering box (part #'s) (Z51/ZO6?) that will bolt right in to my97 coupe? :confused:

Somebody has to have wanted to change out for faster steering-or did you all buy new ZO6's? Need part #'s, & what else might be needed to convert.

Uh, nobody responded because there is only ONE steering rack.
As far as I know, it is among the FASTEST out there.
Maybe your old car had LIGHTER effort and that made it tricky to drive.
The C5 has Magna-steer with variable effort so it always feels just right.
