I am interested to know if you experienced any noise prior to breaking. I have noticed lately in my 2000 when going around slow corners (city driving) or backing out of the driveway in the morning that I hear a strange noise coming from the rear end.
usually a cv boot will fail due to either excessive use to the wheels, shocks, and control arm or a a violent bump to the shocks or control arm like hitting a pothole to fast or running over train tracks to fast....
you will start to see power steering fluid leaking and the steerling wheel with begin to get stiffer....
i've seen it in different cars, but never in a vette...
