Default Cable or throttle by wire on 2001?

I was under the hood of my 2001 today and could not find anything that looked link throttle linkage. Does the 2001 use throttle by wire?
I was trying to trouble shoot the cruise control. It doesn't work. I've already checked the fuse, it's fine, checked the rear brake lights, all are working, and checked the brake peddle to make sure it was all the way up. No luck. Guess I'll have to take it to the Chevy dealer while it's still under warranty. I was hoping it would be something simple like a loose connection or linkage that came undone. :-(

Check the DIC for any codes. It may lead you to the fault. If no codes are set, I would have the dealer look at it.

Thanks for the feedback. Makes sense that it's throttle by wire but I'm new (one week) to C5s. I'm learning!

If you have a 6-speed, check the switch at the clutxh pedal.

I'm not trying to be rude but, the best thing to do is learn about the car before you buy. That goes for any type of car you purchase. That way you will know if the dealership or person you buy from is giving you bull. With use of the Internet we all should be informed buyers and never over pay or be fooled.

Appreciate all the input and no offense was taken. Car is going to the dealer on Saturday. It will be fixed under warranty. From my time on the forum, both the C4 and now the C5 forums, it's clear our cars give us headaches from time-to-time. We can only hope the problems occur while it's still under warranty as is the case with my '01.
