It's a faulty sensor on the windshild washer tank - it's a notorius problem with C5s according to my dealership :yesnod:

What does the windshield washer tank have to do with engine coolant?

Re: What triggeres "low coolant" (C5inNY)
It's my understanding that the sensor is on the coolant reservoir.

Mine does this everytime I parked on even the slightest incline. Even a steep driveway triggers mine.

I've had the same problem. Adding just a little more coolant will make it go away. :flag

Definately the inclined parking. Just make sure its the incline and not a real low coolant message. :D

Could be that the car is not parked level and the sensor is reading a low level. Sensor is on the coolant tank.

tblazec5,
This TSB applies to 1997 - 1999 C5's:

I had the same problem and I followed the instructions on the TSB and added a little coolant to the overflow bottle. That eliminated the DIC messages. Good luck.
