I see you already got the info. Anyway I've found that the reason most of the parking brakes on c5's and z06's are out of adjustment is because at some point the car was driven with the brake on. When i was looking to buy a zo6 I noticed the paint was chipping off the rear rotors of the cars whose parking brake was out of adjustment . When i purchased my z this didn't happen until I forgot to release mine and sped off. The brakes started chattering ,i realized what i did, i released the handle and ever since the brake bearly holds the car. Amazing to me was that i couldn't even tell the brake was on, torque you got to love it.
The freaking caliper bolts are TIGHT!
On the driver side I was able to get my jack under the wrench and break the bolts loose, but no such luck on the passenger side.
In my case adjusting the one side was enough so the brake holds the car on a slope, so I left it at that...
The bolts are torqued to 125 FT/lb from the factory and have lok-tite on them. Use a breaker bar and put a length of pipe over the end to make it longer and give you extra leverage. It's best to do both sides !! :D
That loc-tite can be a bear. Where i work we have loc-tite that is perminent grade that you have to apply heat to break loose nuts and bolts. Maybe due to the heat generated in the rotor applying heat might helpbreak loose those bolts. :smash: :smash: :smash:
