Default Is this clutch shot?

Had a 2003 Z06 with a supercharger on a dyno and the clutch was fine shifting up thru the gears at 3500 or so but after doing a full 6200rpm run the clutch was as hard as the brake pedal and finaly went to the floor. We then could pick it up with our foot and it is fine again at moderate rpm?

Is the clutch shot? We changed the fluid which was not in to great a shape but same results. :chevy

Default Re: Is this clutch shot? (z060ntrack)

I have this same problem on my 2000 frc.... or similar at least.

I was told that it is the slave cyl on the clutch, but i was also told that it was resolved on the 2002 z06's... which you are speaking of an 03 which leads me to believe they did not fix the problem.

I have read that others relate this to heat and have wrapped the hydrolic line with an exhaust type heat wrap while others have mentioned of replacing the current fluid with a dot 5 type...

I am not sure of either of these, but if others chime in I am also VERY interested on the resolution... i have had the car back to the dealership 3 times now for this and they cannot reproduce it and i am extremly frustrated.......
