Default Door Locks

Any one had any problems with the door locks? My 00 FRC started having intermittent problems in both doors. The drivers side won't unlock and the passenger side won't lock. Seems worse now that it's gotten colder.

Thanks

Door control modules crapping out are a very common problem in our cars. I just replaced my passenger side. Module has "Assembled in Mexico" on it. Explains a lot.

Don't know about ti being a common problem (not happened to either of my C5's), but this sounds right as far as the problem.

more than likely it is your DCM....Door Control, Module.. there is one in each door... it controls the locks aand the mirrors etc.. they list for 244 dollars each, are made in mexico.. and they do fail...
you can test their output with a simple test light...

here is what is looks like:

3 out of 4 C5's at my workplace have this exact issue. I'd say its pretty common.

Thanks for the info! I'll take a look. It's really strange both sides have started working again. I would hope for a loose connection but not in both doors.
