Default Blower v. H/C??

I keep going back and forth between a blower and H/C. Can someone summarize the pros and cons of each option?

I have heard people say that a H/C package delivers power at certain rpm ranges depending on what H&C you choose kinda like when a 2 stroke motorcycle hits a certain rev range and almost feels like it's on boost.
I like low end torque and enjoy the "push you back into the seat" feeling so a supercharger might be more to my liking. I know this is highly technical and you might not understand but we'll talk about it after a few cold microbrews on Saturday and you might be able to grasp it  .
In other words, I have no idea :p: .

Talked with Andy today and he cleared things up.

H/C with stock idle = 400-410 RWHP. Anything more will need a bigger cam, which means less than perfect idle characteristics.

Blower = 450-500 RWHP on stock cam and heads, ATI P1, 6 PSI. Power on demand. Stock idle.

Looks like it's back to a blower! Now to find that sugar momma...

jmzvet and I were just talking about this...getting a H/C car next to a blown one and compare to "stock."

Are you around this weekend? Give me a call (949) 433-8685.

Thats not fair!! We have both H/C and S/C... you are going to corrupt this guy and he will never be able to go back to driving his (non H/C, S/C) car again... :jester

Very true...that's what got me hooked. BLUTHUNDER took me for a ride in his ATI & H/C Vette and I was on the phone with Andy the next day.

Hey...how long you guys gonna be in Carlsbad tomorrow? I was going to the SCCA races at Willowsprings, but I hear it's pouring up there. Weather depending, I may take a spin to Carlsbad tomorrow afternoon after my racquetball game.

I find this topic most interesting. The supercharged cars seem to dyno some real hight Horsepower readings. Yet, looking at some of the videos provided by members of the forum, these guys are doing the quarter mile in some very impressive times with a Head & Cam package. Also, some of the superchargers (ATI for one) seem to really produce the extra HP at the Higher RPM's which the Head & Cam seem to do.
