Hello all!Want to know about replacment spark plugs and wires, but first, I didn't notice a search window for this forum. I thought I would be able to just search for previous posts on this subject, as I'm sure there have been many posts about plugs and wires. Anyway, Iplan on replacinng plugs & wires shortly and want to make sure I get the wright stuff. I don't race my Vette, an occasional challenge on the street is about all I do. Are the Taylors a good choice for wires, and NGK 55's for plugs? Yes, lets
Welcome to the forum, this is the best one IMHO :jester .
The search function can be in the left column, under the first "forums" section at the bottom of that section. The search works great and plenty of posts on plugs and wires.
I went with NGK55's copper core - cost is right and no pucks to blow off! Plan to switch wires soon.
I went with the MSD 8.5mm. wires because I was still able to use the factory heat shields that cover the spark plug boot. I slipped the shield onto the new wires first and then snapped the wire onto the new plugs. I went with the NGK TR 55 plugs. Can't say that I noticed a difference but I was missing a puck off of one of my factory GM plugs. The car only has 27,000 mi. on it. :auto:
(rootykazootty) the NGk 55" and the Taylor's would be a very good choice. I use this combo in my car .I race so I use the 10mm Thunderbolts. Msd wires were good also!
