Default Diamond or Je

Hi guys , looks like its time too freshen up my motor, and I would like your expert help on this . What would be a better choice too rebuild my little 346 with Diamond forged or Je forged pistons ? Please recommend a good Rod also. I'm trying for maximum power on motor with later aspirations for a mild 150 shot !!!!! Thankx :chevy

What kind of budget are you on? How many RPM and HP are you looking at?

Both are great pistons. I would lean towards Diamonds on a nitrous motor. Eagle, Lunati, Callies, and Oliver make greats rods.

JE makes a great piston but plan on waiting a long time to get it. Chris at Diamond can hook you up quickly with a set for you motor. They quite a few different size pistons for LS1 applications. Make sure you know which size rod you will use prior to ordering the pistons. They do have a HD piston for NOS applications that is a nice piece, a little heavy but that's what you need. I would also use there H13 wrist pin if your going to be spraying it a lot!

Hey 9d9ls1, A friend of mine told me that the stock sizes for diamond are basically off the shelf, is that not true for JE ? I really don't want a straight up nitrous piston , just one good enuff for a maximum of a 150 shot ! And price, I thought they Diamond or JE runs about $600 , and about the same for the rods, am I correct ?
