I read an article somewhere that the new shocks in the '04's are a great improvement. Lots of track time at that long German track with the horrendous name - Nurburing or something like that.
Does anyone really know (show me the data) or is one of those "old wives tales"???
Jim
No, it's not a "wive's tale".....we saw video of a Z06 on the proving grounds making runs over some VERY bumpy roads and the '03 equipped car actually got airborne  while the same car with an '04 setup STUCK to the ground!
Combine that with the fact they turned the best times EVER at the Nuremburg (?sp) track and you have an amazing set of shocks....and no, the sport or heavy duty Bilsteins don't come close to matching the performance!
Double check that video. The only one I'm aware of compares the new active suspension with the Vette conventional shocks. Having said that, I've seen several articles and a couple of threads on the forum which state the difference with the new Z06/04 shocks is real.

No need....it was presented at the Cruise-In with Dave Hill, I think I can trust the source :D
