Harlan is good but I like the Raptor because it's significantly smaller and much easier to program. Programming is 3 dip switches you set once for the engine type and 2 rotary switches where you can set and change the activation RPM in seconds any time you need to.
Incidentally, I made mounting brackets for friends with Harlans in the past o replace the cruddy one that comes with it. It's on the right in the pic below next to the Raptor bracket.
The Harlan works great and is priced right. If you don't mind taking a chance of not getting it after paying for it:rolleyes: and having your numerous e-mails going unanswered, then this would be a good choice.
Get a Raptor shift light. I guess any other shift light would work also but I'm very satisfied with my light and they had great customer service when I broke my mounting bracket, sent me replacement for free asap
I had a great customer service experience too. My light wasn't working properly and he overnighted a replacement, no questions asked. Quality is excellent too. :yesnod:
I'm with boost2much & Patches. Raptor is great and the customer service can't be beat. I have had no problems, just a question and Rick answered right away.
I've got a raptor light in transit to me. Going to install Friday.
Patches- does it come with everything you need to mount it where you did?
Alex, it comes with two different brackets. They are so similar, though, that I think most choose the one I used because it's the sturdier of the two. No screws came with it so you'll need to find those yourself if you plan to mount it that way. I just cleaned the plastic really well with denatured alcohol and used 3M double-stick tape to mount the bracket. No drilling required. The bracket is very secure using the tape and I've popped the light in and out of it many times to play with the settings.
