??? on driver door lock
On the '02, recently the driver side door lock seems to be malfunctioning; the FOB will activate the valet lights and also the 2nd click unlocks the passenger door lock; but no driver side; end up using the key.
Using the FOB to lock works fine.
To a lesser extent, the inside button also sometimes fails to unlock the door;
what's involved the door locking or unlocking or what's involved to fix?

I had the opposite situation. The driver's door wouldn't lock and the passenger door wouldn't unlock. The dealership replaced the driver's side door lock module and everything seems to be working okay.

Is there a TSB on this? I have had this intermittent problem on my 01 for about 6 months. The driver’s door will not unlock with the FOB, door panel switch or when I pull the ignition key and the left mirror changes its setting. By the time I get it to the dealer for service it starts working again so they won't do anything because they can't duplicate the problem. :banghead:

my '02 did the same thing only on the passenger door. dealer replaced the door control module on monday and everything works fine now. unfortunately, I noticed today that the little screw cover behind the door pull is missing so I'll have to pay them a visit tomorrow. covered by warranty.

sounds like an issue with the supplier for the 02' model year...have you pulled your codes to see if there is any RDCM or LDCM codes?
