Educate me on C5 suspension...
If you wouldn't mind spending a few minutes on me... as you can see from my sig, I'm a C3er, and I pretty well know that suspension and it's many...many, many....weaknesses. Not that I don't love my car, and the many projects it forces me into :D Anyway, I'm a 2nd year ME, and aspiring to be an engineer on a racing team. At this point, about all I know is that you have F & R monoleaf springs, and you can use (comparitively) lower spring rates due to (comparitively) low unsprung weight. Any and all pictures, descriptions, links, etc etc. would be greatly appreciated! Any insight into suspension and roadracing topics in general are welcome.

There is a free suspension analysis program on the net (somewhere) that comes with the geometry of the C5 corvette. It can be used to generate caster, camber and toe curves for the suspension as the chassis moves in roll and brake/accelerate or bumps.
Also look into the series of Carrol Smith books "xxx to win"
Also look up "Physics of Racing" on the net
That should keep you busy for aobut a semmester.
