Does anyone know if GM (specifically Corvette) vehicle maintenance training materials are available to the public?
I would like to get materials like student training manuals they use train Corvette engineers, mechanics (factory and dealer) and/or assembly line folks.
It would be interesting for me to learn more about the C5's (and C6's for that matter) systems integration (i.e ABS & Active Handling), description and operation (i.e. electronics, powerplant, and drive train), troubleshooting, overhaul, and removal/replacement of components.
Although I haven't seen them, I would like to have more detailed information (i.e. engineering info, etc.) than is available in the 3 set Helm manuals that we can purchase.
I have the technical skills and ability needed to interpret complex engineering diagrams and schematics, as well as the mechanical aptitude for learning complex system theory and application.
I do not know if this type of information is even available to the public, or if GM would provide it to an owner if requested.
