Default Many Questions!

First and foremost, hello everyone! I have wanted a Vette my entire life and finally got one and could not be happier! I definately know why you all are so fanatical about your Vettes! Anyway's, I just had a couple of questions so here goes!!

Intake: I have heard a lot about the Vara Ram setup as well as the Vortex package by breathless (the one for about 570 that comes with the MAF and is a complete kit all the way up to the throttle body). Which one do you guys prefer or is there something else out there that is more recommended? Money no object. I did see this article about the Vara Ram and it is worth reading before anyone answers this question http://www.breathlessperformance.com...s%20Vortex.htm

Exhaust: I am thinking about the Corsa touring package with their x-pipe and random technology cats as well. How about this setup?

Engine: Finally, I want to put a cam in the car as well as run a SMALL shot of N2O (like about 75-100). What cam would you guys recommend that would run well with the Nitrous as well as be a good daily driver type cam (even though the car will only be driven about 2-3 times per week). Thank you very much for your time to anyone that has read all of this!

By the way, this is a 6-speed car if that makes any difference at all.

Thanks. This is the place that I have been hearing about for a long time. I have been told to come here with all of my questions whenever I purchased a Corvette

Welcome. I do not recommend any change of your MAF. Intake is OK but do not mess with MAF and Throttle Body. All other mods you mention are fine and I will let a NOS specialist chime in. Good Luck

A lot of people have the Blackwing intake like myself it is another good option for intakes. I would say the vararam and the blackwing would be the two best on my list.

As for the cam + small nitrous shot good question i don't know too much about cams and was about to post the same question since i want to add a cam and a small 75-100 shot of nitrous and was worried on how it would effect the cam and the bottom end.

Exhaust is based basically on what you like according to tone/sound since none of them give a significant amount of hp gain, I like loud so i went with the loudest B&B Bullets ( 4 Tip i don't like any 2 tip version of any exhaust on the vette no offence to you 2 tip lovers )

Good luck with your vette i planned on driving it only 2-3 times a week before but once i went out for a cruise when i got it i couldn't stop driving it... I don't feel right if i don't drive it everyday now  If i go more than 2 days without driving it i go crazy and since i've been driving my vette no other car is fun to drive just really really boring compaired to the vette :D

Cool thanks for the info on the MAF and TB. The car is a 2000. So do you have an opinion about the Vara Ram vs. the Vortex system? Just curious:)

You need to get a late model ZO-6 intake manifold and injectors on that Vette. Worth 10-12 HP. I think that package came on all 2001 and later Vettes. That is when the power increased. These manifolds are easily obtained.
