I can't get no satisTRACTION....
I got headers, blackwing, MAFT tuned by autotap, 3.15s, Transgo...Good power..:yesnod: . i'm happy so far. I run 295/35 Michelin Pilot sports @ 28 psi cold. I spin 'em off the line and even spin 'em on a roll kick down from 4/3 to 2. The spinning from the downshift is really starting to annoy me. Just won't hook up.:mad
What to do?

Chris, More mods are definitely planned,TC & gears and definitly the AFR heads, be patient :jester
Rims are 10.5" and I considered the 'Ho's but the price was too cheap
Are F1's really that sticky or are DR's sufficient

Get a pair of DR's. Nittos will last longer from what I hear. I run BFG DR's full-time.
Mike, are you going to use the ET Streets full-time, or just for the drag strip?

I can break my street tires loose at 50mph, so I drive on E.T. streets half the time. :steering:

Nope, they're bias ply tires. I run bias ply skinnies up front when the E.T. Streets are on.

Re: I can't get no satisTRACTION.... (SvenOdin)
SvenOdin, How does the car feel different in everyday street driving with the BFG drag radials, compared to a non-runflat F-1's? I mean like in cornering, ride, handling, that sort of thing?

Re: I can't get no satisTRACTION.... (CJS)
It doesn't handle as well in the corners or on twisty roads at excessive speeds. It does however make up for it by being able to hook on the street. With over 400 rwhp and rwtq you have to make compromises....
I think eventually I'll try the BFG g/Force KD. I hear they do pretty well......unless you stomp on the gas from a dead stop :reddevil
