Drive shaft won't go into diff. Need help.
My friend can't get his drive shaft into the differential. He got one side in but the other side refuses to go in. Any thoughts as to what could cause this? Any suggestions on how to get it in? He has a HD output shaft if that makes any difference. :cheers:

I assume you mean the halfshafts? Maybe check the condition of the c-clip? They are a pain to get in but you basically just have to fidget with them for a few mins. Once you get it started, you can basically swing the spindle and 'hammer' it the rest of the way on.

Contact RWJ383 (Robert Judd) on this forum... He had the same problem. I believe it was caused by the 'C' clip groove not being deep enough... Tell your friend to try it without the 'C' clip. If it goes in, then the groove is the problem...
