Default Hood Alignment

My hood is a little low in the right front corner immediately behind the headlight door. It lines up perfectly in the front with the front facia and in the back where the windshield is, but in this one corner it is low. I can't find any adjustments for this, does anyone know how to raise this corner?

The hoods have many adjustment points and a little tweak here and there can make a huge difference. I'm not a body shop tech, but in talking with Mike at Motor City Mold on my hood, the body shop really needs to be patient and have experience with hood adjustments. Try finding a good shop and see if they can help.

Is it possible that the light is a little too high and that could be lowered instead?

:iagree: Try the headlight cover first before loosening the hood bolts. There is adjustment in both pieces but the hood can be a real handful - especially if you're alone.

The light actually lines up good, it is the corner of the hood where it meets the fender. The hood is lower then the fender.

Maybe it is the fender.

There are adjustment to every body panel.

Do forget shimms can be an option.

If its the corner I'm thinking of, there is a bumper that you should be able to adjust to increase the hood height at that point. The hood can be a pain in the arz to adjust. I put new chrome hinges on and it took several tweeks here and there to get it to align well. Come to think of it, I believe my wife and I had our first real fight that day when she was trying to help! :boxing

You can try to raise the rubber bumper (on frame rail) a few turns. Good luck.
