Tire Pressure Sensor HELP?
Even though the tire has 31 pounds pressure when cold, my DIC displays a Tire Flat message upon start up.
I then need to hit RESET to clear that message and then DIC displays 0 pounds pressure.
After I clear that, the DIC will display 31 pounds next cycle through.
Any ideas what is going on? Faulty sensor? Repair or replace?
I tried the re-train proceedure and I am positive there is 31 pounds of pressure.
Thanks in advance.

This is a shot in the dark, I would depressurize the tire and air it back up. This might clean the sensing element off and clean out the sensing tube.
Other than that if it doesnt work it might need to be replaced. What year car is it?

There is another post on tire sensors a few below this one. It recommends to do the same thing. Check it out.
Hope you get it figured out.
Try the relearn procedure one more time. What type of magnet did you use??

I have a 98 too! I dread the day when the batteries in the sensors all go bad! :cuss :mad
Those are some EXPENSIVE items! The 2001 and up are smaller and cost less but will NOT work in our older C5's
