I lowered the rear on factory bolts 2 threads before end.
Does someone know how to adjust the factory shocks so they don't bottom out?
And most important I'd like my front lower for high speed, I think the C5's float some up front .
I lowered the bolt until the bushing touched.
Some have cut down that bushing but I heard it creates bounce, and is there bushings availible to put there instead (thinner).
I have Z51 suspension and the car lowered decent, I just want 1/2-3/4 more up front.....
Part #'s???? or ideas anyone.
Have never heard of thinner bushings. I cut 2/3 off my fronts to achieve 1-3/4 lowering from stock. There is no bounce from cutting the bushings. Sorry but don't know about adjusting shocks.

I had Z51 and did not experience any bounce, but i did replace stock shocks with Bilsteins to eliminate bottoming out. Bilsteins are a shorter shock. I now have Z06 sway bars and things are real nice :yesnod:
If the car was put at stock hieght, what does the bushing do?
I think nothing, just sit there bc the adjustment bolt holds the spring to travel the suspension arms...
What U think...
The bushing material (or lack therof) will not affect the ride quality in any way.
If you experience ride harshness after cutting the bushings, it's because the car is set too low and likely bottoming the shock travel..it is not due to the missing bushing material. The remedy is to either switch shocks, or simply adjust the car back up slightly by turning the bolts. The car is still fully adjustable after cutting the bushings off.
