If you own a GMPP warranty and all you did was to install headers, exhaust and air filter intake your warranty is still valid.
It's all at the discretion of the service writer. It's easy for him to say any mod caused any failure, and if he denies your claim, you have to sue GM for the repairs. In my case it was cheaper to repair myself than to sue.
I've had many experiences with warranties and I simply NEVER buy them anymore, they are all a scam, imho.. :)
It depends on the dealer. I had Dayton Chevy in NJ tell me that if they were to install my aftermarket Hotchkis swaybars that they WOULD void my warranty. Ridiculous, but true.......
For the money, I like the Stainless Works headers. The Kooks look to be a good header as well. I have more of those coming at a great price if interested.
I agree, warranty issues will depend mainly on the dealership.
