Default Bassani??

I ran into a guy who told me not to get the Corsa Touring and to just get a Bassani catback. He said the COrsa was OK, but said that the sound and quality of Bassani was a lot better. By the was, the guy owns a few C-5's with some having almos 600HP so he is not new to the mod game! Thanks guys!!

Y2:
I would think twice for the time being about Bassani's.
I have them on my '99 FRC and the left tip fell off when I was driving.
I have called and emailed them asking them to replace the tip.
I have gotten stuck with their customer service rep who doesn't seem to understand that I am requesting they send me a replacement tip and I have been working on this for over a week. They seem to just want me to pay for a new one. I don't have my receipt for the purchase, but you would think a first class customer service would replace the tip.
I sent them an email photos of the back of the car already.
I'll let you know if they resolve this to my satisfaction.
The sound is ok and pretty smooth, but a little tame for me.
I think they might be ok but their customer service sucks so far.
Stay tuned... :mad

I'm sorry to hear that!! Do you think that they make a better product than Corsa? (Putting aside what happened to yours of course!) :D

I don't know if they make a better product than Corsa as I don't have a Corsa, but I'll be Corsa has better customer service!
I would really like to compare my Bassani to a Corsa in person to see.
I think the Bassani owners are far and few between compared to Corsa owners...

I currently run both the Bassani X pipe, and their tail section. I absolutely love them. They are very quiet at idle and normal driving, and make a great sound at WOT. I have the dual oval system (many pics on website in sig) and love the way they look. I also like the fact that not everyone has them. I know that if I went with Stingers or Bullets I'd pick up a few HP, but it's not worth it to me. I don't want to give up the look or the sound. I have had them on my car for over two years, and have had no quality problems. I can't speak for their customer service, as I've had no reason to call them. Sounds like the guy above is getting the run around, and that sucks. Hope he gets it worked out.

On a related side note, I have a friend that has the Corsa 'Daytona' system, which has a very similar look to my Bassani system. He has gone through two sets with the tips falling off. I'm not sure if he is still running them or not. I've look at both systems very closely, and the quality of the Bassani system looks much better to me. Over two years on the car, and mine are rock solid.

:iagree:

My Bassani's have even withstood the brunt of an exploded drive line and still look and sound good and are solidly on the car.

I have Bassani on my '01 and think they sound great. A couple of people have also commented favorably on them when I've been stopped at a traffic light.

I don't have the X-pipe, so I do get a little more of the motorboating sound on deceleration, but I think that holds true with any of the other brands too.

btw, I picked mine up used in the "C5 Parts for Sale" section for a substantial discount.
