Default Memory seat not returning to position

Any of you guys heard of this? I program the seat for me in #1, then use the correct FOB (or #2 with the other FOB, it does not matter) but the seat always moves again, to a different postion, when I unlock the car. My seat moves when I hit the unlock button on the FOB vice putting the key in the ignition - from what I've been told this is normal for the 00. Easy entry is off, BTW, but it does not matter. Both new FOBs and receiver (tried that first). Seat motors ALL bad? It moves up/Down and FWD/BACK, so that would be two motors IF it's them, right? Does not seem logical.

Thanks,
Smash

It is normal. I just gave up. The dealer can't fnd what is wrong & it only happens sometimes. Live with it. :(

You're not alone--I've chosen to live with it. Not worth a dealer visit :iagree:

Try disconnecting your battery for a while (5 minutes?) to reset the system. Then reset your memory and see what happens.

Hey, I feel your pain. My 99 is doing the same thing.
I'm going to take it in (before the extended warranty expires)
and have it checked / at least get it on the GM service computer.
I'll then have an arguement down the road.
I have always waved :seeya

Just wondering if this is related? Mine is a '99 coupe and the memory functions all seem to work as they are supposed to except that every now and then when it's really cold outside I will insert the key and the seat and steering wheel go to position but after starting the engine they go to easy egress position. This seems wierd to me as that shouldn't happen until the key is removed?. Any ideas anyone?
