156mph max?

156mph max?
Owned my 02 for 1 1/2 years now and figured it was time to "open er up" I hit 156 on the HUD and it was in the red and the shift light was on. is this normal for an a4 coupe with no mods?

Yes Ibought the car in june 02 it now has 11k on the odometer. Maybe i needed to let it shift into OD or lockup I may have got out of it just before it was going to shift...didn't want to spend the night in jail or bodybag :D
:confused: Seems a bit low however i would be more concerned with the tach in the red. I had the 2.73 factory rear. Only mod was airbox, 172mph and i'm sure there was more in the car. Something just is not adding up. Are you the original owner? Just curious if maybe someone changed the gears.

:eek: Way too low... Stock(wise) you are supposed to be "faster" than a Z06. While cars are individually different, categorically you should be above 170mph, at least. Time to get her checked out.
