Default Performance with the LSx manifold???

My confidence is being a bit shaken here. Delays in production suggest set-backs....aka problems...what is the deal? Has anyone received a test unit yet? Are there any problems with the manifold? Does it aid performance or is it another holley dud?

Some 77 mm production ones were on display at PRI show. Wilson Manifolds, who did the airflow development said it gets 18 hp over an LS6 which gets about 12 hp over an LS1 manifold.

It's a great looking piece, well three pieces. There are places to plumb in nitrous, and places for burst panels on the bottom piece. All the OEM stuff fits on.

Wilson is producing the billet 77 mm and 90 mm TBs for the manifolds. They had some at the show. They were barely dry from being machined.

Initially they only have cable throttle models because of the complication of the throttle-by-wire. My guess it that they will adapt the OEM motor and geartrain from the C5. Don't hold your breath on this.

Don't give up hope just yet. It's probably a good thing that FAST hasn't rushed production of the manifold before allowing testing and final development by a few competent tuners. I'd rather have it right than soon.

30HP? It doesn't sound plausible.
Neither does a 12 hp advantage of an LS6 manifold over an LS1 manifold (see above). GM only claims a 5 hp advantage and that's with different heads and cam, plus other things. It's hard for me to believe that a manifold, all by itself, will do much. I think the stock ones are pretty efficient.

I think the hp gains quoted apply to a 427 stroker and not a 346. I agree that 30HP increase for a manifold change isn't possible with the modern and very efficient LS1 and LS6 intake manifolds.

I'm waitng to see some real world testing of this.I fell for the Holley intake B.S. and lost 30HP.Took that off right away.Hope this one is alot better.The pre-plumbed N20 bungs would be worth it for me!!!
