 Did they dyno it on a chassis dyno as well ,what does it make "at the rear wheels" ? That dyno sheet is from an engine dyno . Good luck with it .
The picture I saw was of a chart from Microsoft Excel. Did it say somewhere it was an engine dyno, not a chassis dyno? I didn't see mention of either, but for $20,000 it seems that those would be rear wheel numbers.
OK, question. Unless I'm reading this wrong the ad says "beginning with the LS-1 5.7 liter-block that comes in the basic ZO6". Now correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the ZO6 come with an LS-6 block? The two blocks are not the same. The major difference being the windows between the cylinders on the LS-6 block. Surely somebody like Guldstrand should know the difference. And that raises another question that has baffled me. If the updated LS-6 block is supposed to be better, why is the C5-R block always stated as being based on the LS-1 block and not the improved LS-6 block. Just curious.
My local dealer had one of the Guldstrand Signature Edition cars. It sold for ~90K. I didn't care for the paint scheme but I would love one of those 427's.
Congrats on the new engine.
Seriously though, you're correct. A Z06 does come equipped with an LS6 block. But then, they're _ALL_ "LS6" blocks these days.
Starting in mid/late 2001 (I believe), the LS1/LS6 began sharing a common block. I remember there's a way to tell on a 2001, which block you have, but I don't remember any longer how to do it.
